Harwinder Sandhu survived a scare from the Conservatives but was safely re-elected as MLA in Vernon Lumby.

With all but two polls reported, Sandhu was declared the unofficial winner late Saturday night collecting 11,518 votes (42.5%) to Conservative Dennis Giesbrechtsa国际传媒 11,139 votes (41.1%).

Independent Kevin Acton collected 4,196 votes (15.5%).

After failed bids at both provincial and federal elections, Sandhu was elected in 2020 upsetting BC Liberal incumbent Eric Foster by 1.5% of the vote.
