Canucks Young Stars tickets now available

Vancouver Canucks Young Stars Classic will begin Sept. 13, 2024 at 4 p.m.

Ticket packages are now available for the 2024 Young Stars classic, to be held at the South Okanagan Events Centre in Penticton.

The six-game round-robin tournament will be held from Friday, Sept. 13 through Monday, Sept. 16.

Young prospects from the Vancouver Canucks, Edmonton Oilers, Calgary Flames and Winnipeg Jets will face off against each other in the tournament.

This year marks the 11th annual edition of the Young Stars Classic.

To add some spice to this yearsa¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½ tournament, it has been announced the Penticton Vees and Salmon Arm Silverbacks from the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) will participate in an exhibition game on Saturday, Sept. 14.

The first game of the Young Stars tournament is set for Friday, Sept. 13 at 4 p.m. when prospects from the Calgary Flames and Winnipeg Jets hit the ice.

A second game that evening will see prospects from the Vancouver Canucks and Edmonton Oilers hit the ice, with puck drop set for 7:30 p.m.

The Vees-Silverbacks exhibition game will take place at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14. That game will be followed by a tilt between prospects for the Flames and Oilers at 7:30 p.m.

Prospects from the Canucks and Jets will play Sunday, Sept. 15 at 2 p.m.

The tournament wraps up Monday, Sept. 16 with prospects from the Jets and Oilers playing at 11 a.m. The final game will see prospects from the Flames and Canucks play at 2:30 p.m.

Full tournament packages will go on sale to the general public on Monday, July 29 at 10 a.m. They can be purchased at the Valley First box office at the SOEC or online at .

Each full tournament package includes tickets to all six NHL games and the Vees’ exhibition game. Ticket prices start at $115 for adults and $75 for children ages 12 and under.

Two weeks ago, the Canucks announced they would be holding their first training camp in Penticton the week before the Young Stars tournament takes place.

Season ticket holders with the Canucks and Abbotsford Canucks, SOEC premium seating/suites and Cyber Club members, as well as Vees season ticket holders, will have access to exclusive presales ahead of tickets going on sale to the general public on Monday, July 29.

Details will be released to them through their mailing lists in the next few days.

In addition to the games, there will be several community events during the Young Stars Classic, including the annual Young Stars Classic Party on the Plaza outside the SOEC and a minor hockey skills competition and referee clinics.
