KLO Road bridge
The old KLO Road bridge, which is susceptible to damage when struck by logs and other debris carried down by high water levels, will be replaced this year at cost of $16 million. It's one of 133 infrastructure projects costing a total of $150 million.听
The City of sa国际传媒 will spend $150 million on infrastructure projects this year on an array of transportation, park, and utility undertakings.

There are 133 projects altogether, city officials say.听

鈥淢any of the projects identified for constructions this year focus on renewing infrastructure and making targeted investments to keep sa国际传媒 running smoothly and safely while accommodating population growth,鈥 infrastructure delivery manager Brian Beach said in a city release.听

Some big ticket items are: replacing the old and narrow KLO Road bridge at $16 million; two new artificial turf sports fields at Rutland Recreation Park at $3.9 million; $6 million to expand Glenmore Road from two lanes to four lanes between Union Road and Scenic Road.听

The existing KLO Road bridge is so close to high-water levels during the spring that is sometimes struck by logs and other debris carried down during run-off.听

Funding for the projects comes from taxation, provincial and federal grants, municipal reserves, borrowing, utility revenue, and fees paid by developers.听
