NIAGARA FALLS, Ont. 鈥 In a landmark moment, Dr. Shri Nanasaheb Dharmadhikari Pratishthan (DSNDP), a non-profit organization has been honoured with the prestigious 2024 Civic Pride Award for their outstanding social work.

The award, presented by Niagara Falls Recreation Committee, recognized the extraordinary humanitarian efforts of DSNDP, a testament to the revolutionary leadership of founders Dr. Shri Appasaheb Dharmadhikari and Dr. Shri Sachindada Dharmadhikari.

The Civic Pride Award is presented to individuals and organizations who demonstrate a true commitment to the community, improving the citysa国际传媒 environment and enhancing the everyday lives of Niagara Falls residents.

It is one of the nine special awards given out annually during the citysa国际传媒 volunteer recognition awards ceremony.

Founded in Maharashtra, India, Dr. Shri Nanasaheb Dharmadhikari Pratishthan honours the legacy of Dr. Shri Nanasaheb Dharmadhikari, a social reformer committed to community service. The organization has planted 3.67 million trees, eliminated 275 million pounds of waste, and cleared 32 million pounds from dams and rivers in India. Under the visionary leadership of the founders, DSNDP has expanded to 23 countries, inspiring 7 million followers across the globe. In Canada, DSNDP mobilized 500-plus volunteers to collect 12,150 pounds of waste, plant 300-plus trees and conduct recurring plasma donation drives in the last three years with over 150 donor registrations. Leading similar efforts in the United States, the organization has spanned social initiatives across 19 states and 107 cities, collecting 40,590 pounds of waste, planting over 20,000 trees, resulting in significant cost savings for the government.

Inspired by this recognition and guided by their motto, 鈥淰asudhaiva Kutumbakam - The World is One Family,鈥 DSNDP seeks to further its efforts and broaden its influence across North America.
