A driver was killed Wednesday when their vehicle collided with a snowplow on the Okanagan Connector west of the Highway 97 interchange at Peachland.聽
The crash happened about 9 a.m. just a few hundred metres west of the interchange.
Both westbound lanes were closed for eight hours while police investigated the accident, with Coast-bound drivers being re-routed on the longer Hope-Princeton Highway route to Vancouver.聽
鈥淚nvestigators have determined a pickup truck travelling westbound with a lone occupant collided with a snowplow while attempting to pass,鈥 sa国际传媒 RCMP Cpl. Michael Gauthier said in a release.
鈥淩oad conditions played a significant factor in this collision," he said.聽
