鈥淲here we would typically see one to two reports of counterfeit bills each month, since December 1 we have received 17 reports, so thatsa国际传媒 quite a spike. It is predominantly $20 and $50 bills we are seeing,鈥 said RCMP Cpl. Jennifer Cooper.听
Some of the bills are of such poor quality they might have been intended for a 鈥渃lassroom setting鈥, Cooper said. Others were photocopies of real money.听
Mechants presented with what appears to be fake cash should 鈥減olitely refuse the note and explain their suspicions that it may be counterfeit鈥, Cooper says.听
