The prestigious King Charles III Coronation Medal has been awarded to two distinguished Peachland residents, Barb Dionne and Don Wilson, for their outstanding contributions to the community.

Barb Dionne has served Peachland for multiple decades as both an entrepreneur and former municipal councillor. As senior constituency assistant to MPs Stockwell Day and Dan Albas, she helped hundreds of constituents navigate government services over two decades. Currently president of the Peachland Historical Society, she is a member of the team that manages the Peachland Museum and Visitor Centre helping showcase the Okanagan Valley to visitors from around the world.

A pillar of the Peachland community for 86 years, Don Wilson has demonstrated exceptional dedication to public safety and local history. His distinguished career includes service as volunteer fire chief, ambulance attendant and more than 25 years on municipal council.
